$20,000 grant to help with new area STEAM expansion

Batesville, IN — Kids Discovery Factory (KDF) recently received a $20,000 grant from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation to support the renovation of their building at 110 Sycamore Street in downtown Batesville.

The building and neighboring lot, valued at more than $400,000, was donated by Batesville Tool & Die to Kids Discovery Factory to support the expansion of their current science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) outreach programs into a permanent discovery center. Kids Discovery Factory will house world-class interactive exhibits, benefitting children, families, and schools throughout southeastern Indiana. The project will positively impact the quality of life, regional tourism, economic growth, and workforce development.

Kids Discovery Factory is looking for exhibit and visitor experience feedback from regional families. A link to the survey can be found on their website.
