UPDATE: 2 injured in Monday morning crash

BATESVILLE,  Ind. — (March 21 UPDATE): 

The Batesville Police Department says emergency workers extricated two crash victims Monday on northbound 229 near the I-74 eastbound on-ramp.

At 11:13 a.m. a car driven by Cindy Ruble, 46, of New Point, was southbound and attempting a left turn in the 900 block of N State Road 229 when she was struck by a car driven by Lonnie Chapin, 46, of Milan. The impact caused the Ruble vehicle to turn onto its side, trapping the driver and her passenger Dorothy Ruble, 80, New Point.

Cindy and Dorothy Ruble were transported to Margaret Mary Health for treatment.

The Batesville Fire Department, Batesville EMS and Sunman Rescue 20 all assisted at the scene.

 

 

(March 19): Batesville fire and rescue responded to a two-vehicle accident Monday morning.

According to officials, the accident occurred on State Road 229 in front of the BP Station around 11:15 AM.

2 passengers from one of the vehicles were extricated and transported to Margaret Mary Health for treatment of injuries.
