World Record Attempt Underway In Brookville

A world record attempt at the longest wiffle ball game ever is underway in Franklin County. First pitch was thrown at 7:00 a.m. Friday and organizers plan to play for the next 36 straight hours.

The game is ongoing at the residence of Oldenburg Academy Volleyball coach Brian Patterson at 10172 Resevoir Rd. in Brookville, which is near the Brook Hill Golf Course.

Two 5-member teams are competing against each other for the event, with Patterson and State Rep. Jud McMillin playing among others.

Community members are invited to come and support the Guinness World Record attempt.

The event is being held to raise funds for Safe Passage. Donations are being accepted for the not-for-profit agency serving domestic violence victims in Southeastern Indiana. Event participants will be collecting pledges and donations during the game with all proceeds going to the agency to help local victims.
