26 injured in Megabus crash on I-65

SEYMOUR, Ind. – Investigators say slick road conditions are to blame for a Megabus crash on I-65 near Seymour early Saturday morning.

The bus was moving to the right lane around 5:25 a.m. when the driver lost control and went into the median and rolled on its side.

Twenty-six passengers were injured and several were rushed to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour and at least one was transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis at the time of this release.

Uninjured passengers were taken to Seymour Middle School as local American Red Cross hosted them for shelter.

Changing weather conditions and speed may have contributed to the cause of this crash, police said.

The bus was traveling south with passengers from several different cities between Chicago and Atlanta.
