Connor Amos SICU/Rehab fund
On December 29, 2016, Connor Amos was lifelined to the UC Medical Center after his pick-up truck collided with a semi on State Road 129 just North of 48. He struck the rear axle of a semi and was trapped inside of his truck for about an hour before firefighters were able to free him.
Connor suffers from multiple bone fractures; including his ankle, hip, pelvis, ribs, chest, arm, jaw and multiple other facial fractures. He has multiple external lacerations. His spleen and liver were also lacerated in the accident. Connor's lungs were partially collapsed and he suffers from a severe contusion to the right lung.
Currently, Connor is intubated and on ventilation. Due to the severity of his injuries, we have been told that once he is released from the SICU, he will remain on bed rest for at-least 3-4 months and there will be months of rehabitilitation to follow.
ALL funds will be entrusted to his parents, Mike and Libby Amos, to assist with medical care and expenses, as well as all future care that is required during Connor's recovery.
Your loving support is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
Sincerely,
The Family of Connor Amos

As of yesterday, January 10, Connor was officially released from the hospital! He will have regular visits with therapy and a home care nurse will regularly visit as well to check his blood levels. Neither leg is able to bear weight and his right arm is also unable to be used until after his second surgery in a few months. Hopefully, sometime within the next 2-3 weeks Connor will also be able to eat solid food again. Having his jaw wired shut is a struggle (to say the least) and he has lost quite a bit of weight. Despite everything that has happened within the last few weeks Connor's spirit remains high. He has been talking about his future and all of his goals. Not only his goals for after recovery but also his personal goals during recovery.
Our family truly believes that without all of the love and support that we have received Connor would not be where he is today. His recovery is nothing short of a miracle.
Thank you to those of you that have personally reached out to help our family during this time. We appreciate all of your prayers and positive thoughts. Please continue sending them our way. There is no way that we can ever thank each and every one of you enough. We hope that you all know how important your support has and will continue to be.
Connor is stubborn. Anyone that knows him can attest to that... and it appears that next few months might provide some of the most rewarding and challenging days of his life. That being said... he is going to need all of our support now more than ever.
As always, continued prayers and positive thoughts are need. I will continue to update you all during his recovery process.
