Batesville, In. — Applications are open for students interested in participating in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2018 legislative session, according to State Rep. Cindy Ziemke.
Pages have an opportunity to join Ziemke during the legislative session and tour the governor’s office, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the House and Senate chambers.
“The page program is a great way to experience the Statehouse and legislative process firsthand,” Ziemke said. “Pages get to watch session and help my staff with their daily tasks. I hope that students from the district will be able to take advantage of this unique opportunity.”
To be a page, applicants should be between the ages of 13 and 18. Ziemke said student pages receive an excused absence from school and groups can sign up to participate together. More information is online here.
