(Ripley County, IN) – Eastbound I-74 near Batesville was shut down for several hours last evening after a westbound semi reportedly veered into the safety guy wires in the median near the 152-mile marker and came to a stop in the eastbound lanes.
Motorists were advised to find alternate routes during the cleanup and investigation, which led to choke points on side roads, particularly on State Road 46 in Penntown.
There were no injuries reported.
Indiana State Police troopers are investigating.
