Anderson, In. — An inmate on work release was charged with misdemeanor theft today after he was found to be in possession of a PEB (Personal Electronic Ballot) and memory card from Madison County election equipment.
The investigation began on 10/22 when investigators at the Pendleton District were contacted by an employee at the Madison County Community Justice Center, stating that they had located Madison County election equipment in the personal belongings of an inmate that was currently on work release, 26 year old Tyler Pha Sink.
An investigation was initiated, during which it was discovered that Sink recently had access to the equipment by volunteering to help with the set up at a voting site.
