(Franklin County, IN) – A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Road 1 and U.S. 52 west of Cedar Grove early Monday morning.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Kathleen Scott was driving an SUV northbound on 1 when she failed to stop at the intersection for an unknown reason, and that caused her vehicle to travel over 52 and off the north side of the road and overturn.
Scott, who was from Cincinnati, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
U.S. 52 was closed for three hours Monday morning.
The crash remains under investigation.
In addition to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Letts EMS and the Cedar Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
