Lawrenceburg, IN — Jurors in Dearborn County found a Lawrenceburg woman guilty of domestic battery and several other charges.

38-year-old Leslie Lowe was convicted in Dearborn Superior Court I on January 10 of Domestic Battery Committed in the Presence of a Child Under Age 16, Obstruction of Justice, Criminal Confinement (all Level 6 felonies), and Domestic Battery (Class A misdemeanor).

The charges stemmed from an incident last May.

Prosecutor Lynn Deddens says after hearing and seeing evidence that included videos and photos of the incident during the day-and-a-half-long trial, the jury deliberated an hour before finding Lowe guilty on all four counts.

“When there are allegations of violence in the home, it makes for difficult cases to prosecute as well as emotional evidence for jurors to receive,”  Deddens said.

Lowe is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Jonathan Cleary on February 9.
