DECATUR/FRANKLIN COUNTIES, IN — The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Decatur County from Wednesday evening through late Thursday night.
Heavy mixed precipitation is possible, with total sleet and snow accumulations up to three inches and ice accumulations of one tenth to one quarter of an inch possible.
The weather service says tree damage and power outages are likely due to ice.
Travel could be nearly impossible, with hazardous conditions possibly impacting the morning or evening commute.
As of Monday evening, the weather service also says the path of the storm remains uncertain which impact precipitation types and amounts.
Meantime, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Franklin County from Wednesday afternoon through 7am Friday.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio says heavy mixed is precipitation possible, with total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of two tenths to four tenths of an inch possible.
Wind chills will likely fall to near or below zero degrees Friday night.
