Wind advisories issued for SE Indiana

SOUTHEASTERN IN — A wind advisory is in effect from 10 am until 10 pm Wednesday for Decatur County, while Ripley, Franklin, and Dearborn counties will be under a wind advisory from Noon until 6 am Thursday.

Forecasters say there is an elevated fire danger due to gusty winds and low relative humidity.

Conditions are favorable for rapid fire growth, and outdoor burning is being discouraged.

Winds will gust upwards of around 40 mph at times Wednesday afternoon.

In addition, gusty winds could blow around unsecured outdoor objects, and tree limbs could be blown down, possibly resulting in a few power outages.
