Willis Michael ‘Mike’ Chalk, age 64, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday, October 23, 2017 at Vitas Hospice Inpatient Care in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born March 24, 1953 in Milan, Indiana he was the son of the late Willis & Irene (Inman) Chalk. On July 18, 1987 he and the former Deborah Gindling were united in marriage, and she survives.
Mike was retired from Hill-Rom in Batesville, where he had been employed for over 40 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting & fishing, and riding his UTV. He also loved animals and his pets.
Besides Debbie, his wife of over 30 years, survivors include three sisters, Melody Dixon, Gail Fortner and Kim Chalk all of Manchester, Indiana; two nieces and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dale Gindling, who died April 6, 2017.
Family & friends may visit from 4 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Curtis Bond, pastor of the Brookville United Methodist Church, will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 27, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will then follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.
