William Richard “Dick” McCool, 77, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023.
He was born October 19, 1945, in Batesville, IN, son of Helen (Schmaltz) Zimmer and the late Prosber W. McCool.
He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
William was retired from Pernod Distilleries and the Lawrenceburg Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Lawrenceburg American Legion and also a member of the Vietnam Veterans.
William is survived by his loving spouse, Christine (Paulson) McCool; mother, Helen Zimmer; children, Kimberly Ann (Danny) Brooks-McCool, Patrick W. (Angie) McCool; grandchildren, Carly, Jackson and Nicole; step grandchild, Hunter Showalter; sister, Suzanne Craig and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Prosber W. McCool; sister, Joan; uncle, Leo McCool; aunt, Ruby McCool.
Friends will be received Thursday, July 20, 2023, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 542 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church, at 12:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, IN. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
