William Messer Jr., 68, Osgood

William Messer Jr., 68, of Osgood passed away Monday, October 5, 2026 at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born near Stinky Creek, Kentucky on November 13, 1957, the son of Willie and Eva Grubbs Messer Sr. He was married to Brenda Stroud on November 22, 1978 and his wife of 47 years survives. Other survivors include one son Brad (Nicolas) Messer of Indianapolis, two grandchildren; Willie Messer IV and Riley Messer; two sisters Joyce Beatty of Seymour and Mary Kegley of North Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Willie “BJ” Messer III, one brother Charlie Messer. Mr. Messer work as a Farm Hand for Jean Fugate and Glen Smith. Jr. loved to mow and take care of the yard, work on cars, and spending time with his dog and cat. Jr. wishes were to be cremated and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
