William B. Laib, age 72, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday, May 23, 2016 at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio.
Born October 9, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of the late William C. & Marcella (Luken) Laib. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served as a Captain during the Vietnam Era.
On November 20, 1965 he and the former Claire Borntrager were united in marriage, and she survives. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening and working, but his greatest joy was time spent with his grandsons Jacob and Noah.
Bill was a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor for many years.
Besides Claire, his loving wife of over 50 years, survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Sally & Adam Henson of Brookville, Indiana, his two grandsons, Jacob G. Henson and Noah M. Henson both of Brookville; two brothers, Dr. Richard Laib and Thomas Laib of Newport, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Steven Laib.
Family & friends may visit from 6 till 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Walker Chapel, 7740 Springfield Road, Oxford, Ohio 45056. An additional visitation will be held from 9 till 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Colerain Township, 5361 Dry Ridge Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45252.
The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 11:00 A.M., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5361 Dry Ridge Road, Cincinnati. Burial will take place in St. Joseph New Cemetery.
