BATESVILLE, Ind. – There is no promise we will have a white Christmas this year.
Early weather models show a chance of rain or snow beginning Monday through Christmas Eve.
“On Wednesday, we got a low pressure system moving through the Great Lakes and it is probably going to be above freezing but colder,” National Weather Service forecaster Brian Coniglio said.
Coniglio said forecasters are predicting partly sunny skies Christmas Day with seasonally cold temperatures.
While the forecast could change, the weather does not look to cause many problems for those who will travel in Southeast Indiana for the holidays.
AAA expects nearly 100 million people will travel 50 miles or more next week. Snow storms are possible in other regions of the country which could cause flight delays from airports in the Northeast and upper Midwest.
