Wildcats Outscored By Trojans

Franklin County dropped to 4-1 on the season and 1-1 in conference play after an 11-10 loss to East Central in a game that started Thursday, but rain forced the teams to come back on Friday to finish.

On Thursday, FC jumped out to an 8-3 lead and again had the leadoff guy on base in the bottom of the 3rd when storms forced the decision to come back to play on Friday. When play resumed on Friday, East Central came out scoring 3 runs in the first 2 innings played. After taking a brief lead, FC again lost the lead and lost by a score of 11-10.

Offensively, FC was led by Hunter Geis with 3 hits. Brant Ertel, Joe Fields, and Remy Watters also had 2 hits each. Watters and Garrison Siedling led with 3 RBI’s each, while Ertel had 2 RBI’s

FC will host Connersville on Monday in Varsity action while the JV team will travel to Connersville. The first pitch is 5:30.
