The Franklin County Wildcats came away with a road victory, 5-4 at Lawrenceburg on Monday night. Joe Fields earned the win on the mound, going 6 2/3’s innings.
Leading 5-0 with 2 outs in the 7th, the Tigers put together a rally in the last inning. Garrett Ertel came in the game in the 7th to record the final out.
Offensively, FC was led by sophomores Brant Ertel and Chase Burton. Ertel recorded 3 hits with a double, while Burton collected 2 hits and a double with 2 runs scored
FC will play host to Lawrenceburg on Thursday night at 5:30.
