Wildcats Harriers Participate At Connersville Invite

The Franklin County Boys Cross Country team placed 10th out of 15 teams at the Connersville Invitational on Tuesday, September 19th. However, only 4 points separated 10th place from 8th place. Hagerstown placed 1st and East Central finished 2nd.

Senior, Evan Apsley, was the top finisher for Franklin County. He finished 16th with a time of 18:53. He is starting to stay under 19 minutes consistently. Senior, Cody Moore, finished 25th, with a time of 19:15. The hilly Connersville course and the hot/humid temperatures were not ideal for faster times. Despite this, the Franklin County Boys made a strong showing.

The Franklin County Girls Cross Country team placed 6th out of 13 teams at the Connersville Invitational, on Tuesday, September 21st. They were only 7 points from 5th place. East Central placed 1st.

Freshman, Lauren Kelley, placed 4th and broke her own school record that she just broke three days prior at South Dearborn. She dropped her time by 10 more seconds with a time of 21:27. Sophomore, Katelyn Meyer, just missed a top 25 spot. Her time of 24:26 earned her 26th place. Taylor Stewart and Kairee Hodapp were very close behind Katelyn, and were 29th and 31st respectively, out of 87 competitors. Even though, the whole team only had one personal record, the whole team is staying close to their solid times and remaining competitive.
