The Franklin County Wildcats improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference with a 9-3 win at home over Connersville Monday night.
Joe Fields threw a complete game on the mound, allowing just 2 earned runs.
After allowing an unearned run in the top of the 1st, the FC offense responded with 8 runs while scoring in each of the first 4 innings. Senior Garrett Ertel led FC with 2 hits and 4 RBI’s, while sophomore Brant Ertel recorded 2 hits also.
FC JV also won 10-0 in their game at Connersville.
Franklin County will travel to Connersville Thursday night.
