Franklin County dropped a non-conference home game to New Castle Tuesday 10-4.
Brady Brandenburg got his first Varsity start, pitching 3 innings, giving up 4 runs, 3 of which were earned. FC battled back to a 1 run deficit after a Brennan Meyers home run in the 4th but New Castle answered with 5 runs.
FC hosts Rushville on Thursday. With a win, FC will win the EIAC outright.
