DECATUR COUNTY, Ind. — A Westport man has been arrested after police say he wouldn’t let a woman and her son leave during a confrontation.
Derek Tackett, 22, was arrested after police responded to a 911 call north of Westport on State Road 3.
The victim told officers that Tackett caused a verbal argument, and she tried to leave the house with her son, but he blocked the door and would not let her leave.
Police say the victim told them Tackett abused her several times throughout the evening.
Tackett was arrested and is facing charges of Criminal Confinement and Domestic Battery.
