Westport Man Accused of Running From DUI Crash

(Jennings County, IN) – A Westport man is accused of running from the law following a DUI crash in Jennings County Thursday evening.

Jennings County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the intersection of State Road 3 and County Road 675 North following the wreck.

When deputies arrived on the scene, bystanders told them the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident walked away and into a wooded area.

The man, later identified as 31-year-old Bradley Lovingood, was eventually spotted and fled on foot from deputies through the woods.

After a lengthy foot chase and the use of a Taser, Lovingood was arrested.

He was treated at the scene by EMTs before being taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Afterward, Lovingood was booked in the Jennings County Jail on several counts, including Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Resisting Law Enforcement.
