(Westport, IN) – The Westport Kiwanis Club is excited to announce the 77th Annual Westport BBQ and Heat in the Street Car Show, set to take place on Saturday, September 7. This long-standing tradition promises a day of community celebration, delicious food, and exciting events for all ages.
Event Details:
BBQ and Food Service: The Kiwanis Club will be serving BBQ pork chops, pork BBQ, and hot dogs in the back room of the Community Building, located at 205 W. Main Street. Food service will commence at 11:00 am and continue through the late afternoon, ensuring ample time for guests to enjoy the fare.
Heat in the Street Car Show: Car enthusiasts can look forward to a dazzling display of vehicles along Main Street. Registration for the car show will begin at 8:00 am, with vehicles on display from noon until 4:00 pm. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the show.
Pedal Tractor Pull: Youngsters can showcase their strength and determination at the Pedal Tractor Pull, starting at 1:30 pm under the Shelter House at Westport Park. This event promises to be a highlight for families and children.
Quilt Show: The Westport Christian Church will host a Quilt Show from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at its Outreach Center, located at 106 W. Mulberry Street.

Climbing Wall: Challenge yourself and your family on the Climbing Wall provided by the Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp. This new attraction is sure to add an adventurous twist to the day’s events.
Cornhole Tournament: Join the South Decatur High School baseball team for a fun-filled Cornhole Tournament. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a newcomer, this tournament offers a great way to engage with the community and test your skills.
