West Harrison man charged after failing to follow sex offender requirements

West Harrison, In. — A West Harrison man is charged after failing to show up for his yearly registration with the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.

Jeffrey Sess, 28 of West Harrison is charged with one count of Failure to Register with a Prior Conviction, a Level 5 Felony, after police say Sess failed to show at his yearly registration as a sex offender.

According to the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department Sex and Violent Offender Office, Deputy Brian Jansen attempted to verify Sees’ residence on North Dearborn Road.  Deputy Jansen was told that Sees no longer lived at that residence and failed to report his change of address, as he is required to do upon moving.  Additionally, Sees did not show up for his yearly registration at the end of January 2019.

Sees is being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
