BATESVILLE, IN — The Ripley and Franklin County Health Officer has announced his intent to run for the Indiana House District 55 seat being vacated by the retiring Cindy Ziemke.
Dr. David Welsh (pictured) said he will file the appropriate papers with the State of Indiana to run for the office as a Republican.
Welsh has been a practicing General Surgeon for over 30 years and is a Batesville resident.
Ziemke is retiring after serving 10 years in the General Assembly.
