North Vernon, In. — A Saturday morning crash killed a North Vernon teen on U.S. 50 near County Road 450 West.
A report from the Indiana State Police says a car driven by a 17-year-old North Vernon girl was westbound on U.S. 50 around 8 a.m. when she crossed the centerline and struck another car driven by Destiny Gerringer, 24, of North Vernon.
The 17-year-old female driver was declared deceased at the scene. Gerringer was transported to an Indianapolis hospital with serious injuries.
