Update (1:30 p.m.)
A local driver was hospitalized after a two vehicle crash Wednesday morning at the intersection of S.R. 129 and 50.
Brenda Shaw, 50, Cross Plains, was driving a 1993 Lexus traveling on C.R. 400 East.
Crash investigators say she failed to yield-the-right away when crossing U.S. 50 to S.R. 129 around 7:40 a.m.
Her vehicle was struck by an Oldsmobile driven by Jimmie Brandt, 47, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Shaw was transported to Margaret Mary Health for treatment of hip pain and a laceration on the cheek. Brandt did not require medical treatment.
The accident forced police to divert traffic until the scene was cleared shortly before 9 a.m.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the scene of the crash has been cleaned up around 9 a.m.

MILAN — Emergency crews are on the scene of a two vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Ripley County.
The crash occurred before 8 a.m. at the intersection of S.R. 129 and U.S. 50.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene as an ambulance crew is believed to be en route.
A witness says drivers are unable to turn onto S.R. 129 from U.S. 50. Watch for delays if you are traveling through the area.
