BATESVILLE, IN — Watch Communications hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony (pictured) and open house Thursday at Izzy’s at Hillcrest in Batesville to mark the completion of new towers capable of providing high-speed internet to the area.
Company representatives were joined by Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce staff members at the ribbon-cutting.
Watch received a 10-year, $52 million federal grant to provide high-speed internet service to rural areas, including Ripley, Franklin, and Decatur counties.
The Internet Service Provider uses a combination of fixed wireless and fiber technologies to serve residential and business customers in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois.
