Warrant service leads to school lock down in Milan

Milan, In. — (Update 12:15 p.m.) At 12:10 p.m. the Ripley County Sheriff’;s Department had the suspect in custody and the lock down was lifted.

Milan Community Schools resource officer Noel Houze tells WRBI News bo the Milan Community Schools properties are on precautionary lock down.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Department was serving a search warrant in the town of Milan when the suspect fled the area. The lock down was implemented out of an abundance of caution.

A precautionary lock down means only administrators are allowed to enter buildings and movement insode the school is restricted.
