Ward Terrance Carpenter, 56, of Moores Hill, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022.
He was born January 28, 1966, in Ohio, son of the late Thomas Carpenter and Josephine Carpenter.
Ward worked as a Floor Supervisor for Pierre Food for several years.
Ward was an avid sports guy. He coached Pee Wee football and minor league baseball at Moores Hill and Aurora for several years. He announced football games for South Dearborn High School and he would umpire baseball games in Dillsboro. He was a true blue Bengals fan. Ward enjoyed golfing and hunting. Ward loved to sing and dance around and he enjoyed karoke. He attended Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church, he loved the Lord and he maintained a relationship with the Lord. Ward loved the holidays and spending time with his family.
Ward is survived by his loving spouse Devona (Johnson) Carpenter, they were together for 38 years, married for 36; children, Amanda (James) Green of Greendale, IN, Renee Carpenter of Aurora, IN, Ward Thomas Carpenter of Osgood, IN, and Brandon (Elizabeth) Carpenter of Madison, IN; siblings, Pam (Jeff) Huff of Milan, IN, Danny Carpenter of Aurora, IN, Trisha Gaylord (Brian Wilson) of Lawrenceburg, IN, Kenny (Becky) Carpenter of Moores Hill, IN; grandchildren, Tayah, David Jr. & Joshua Holdcraft, Lylian Grace, Kloyi Grace, Zander Barron, Zella Grace, Ruby Rose, Paisley Martin, Aiden Carpenter, and Corbin Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Josephine; siblings, Tommy Carpenter, Candace Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter and Dale Carpenter.
Friends will be received Thursday, December 22, 2022, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at 2 pm immediately following visitation.
Interment will follow in the South Sparta Cemetery, Moores Hill, Indiana.
