Von S. Riebsomer, 77, passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Von was born April 16, 1947, in Hamilton, Ohio to Robert and Ruthanna Riebsomer. He graduated from Rushville High School in 1965 and attended Ball State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in education. Von taught school for five years in Milroy, Indiana, then went into farm-related sales. After retiring, Von used his talents to refurbish antiques. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, woodworking, and grilling for parties.
On August 2, 1969, he married Susan Clark who survives. They were blessed with three children; Matthew (Ellen) Riebsomer, Stacey (Michael) Mickelbart, and Anthony (Brittany) Riebsomer. Also surviving are grandchildren: Maleah and Micah; siblings: Robin Riebsomer, Laura (John) Crawford, and Betsy (Paul) Draper. Other survivors include; nephew, Shane Riebsomer; and cousin, Jama Martin. Von was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Shawn Riebsomer.
Von will be remembered for his love of gardening, grilling year-round, love of music, and willingness to help others.
