Vivian Lea Krick 75, Clearwater, Florida

Vivian Lea Krick of Clearwater, Florida passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025.  Vivian was born February 16, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Walter and Genelle Krick. She grew up in Milan with her parents and older sister, Beverly. Vivian was a member of the Milan Methodist Church. She loved her parents and animals, especially dogs.  As a child Vivian and her family traveled often to their home in Clearwater, Florida, spending summers on the beach. She graduated from Milan High School in 1968.

After high school, Vivan attended Indiana University.  Later she graduated from the Veterinary Technology Center of St. Petersburg College.  She worked hard to become manager of Waldenbooks and shared her appreciation of books with family.

Vivian was grateful for opportunities to travel, mostly with her parents on cruises through the years, but the cities where she solidly planted roots were Milan, Nashville, and Clearwater.

Vivian was a passionate patriot with conservative and traditional (Christian) core values.  Her use and awareness of good grammar, correct spelling and appropriate vocabulary came from her comprehension of classic literature.  She paid incredible attention to detail and could accurately recall events and activities even years later. She was a huge history buff and stayed in tune with current events. Vivian was a devoted, loving, and caring parent to many dogs of various breeds, sizes, and ages. Aside from her parents, whom she greatly adored and respected, Vivian gave her whole heart to her “fur-babies”. She always had one, two, or even three “kids” at a time.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Genelle Krick and an infant sister.

Vivian will be greatly missed by her significant other, Joe Klein of Clearwater, FL; sister Beverly Neihardt (Joe) of Hernando, FL; nieces: Rhonda Kauffman (Steve) of Hernando, FL; Jodie Rich (Matt) of Peoria, AZ and Tonya Neihardt (Craig Stephen) of Mason, OH; and “fur-babies”, Maggie Mae & Scarlet.

A memorial service is to be planned for a later date with a burial in Craven Cemetery, Milan, Indiana. Donations may be made in remembrance of Vivian to:  Ripley County Humane Society-Osgood, IN; Milan United Methodist Church; Craven Cemetery-Milan, IN.
