Vincent Scott Herbert, 74, of Osgood, Indiana passed away on December 18, 2023. He was born on May 5, 1949, in Batesville, Indiana the son of Vincent H. and Mary (Kirschbaum) Herbert. Vincent was raised by Russell and Thelma (Kirschbaum) Voiles. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1967 and was proudly a part of the Semi State Basketball team of 1966. Vincent went on to play basketball at college in Florida until enlisting in the United States Air Force. He later worked as a truck driver.
Survivors include Son, Ted Herbert; Sisters, Anita Jean (Gene) Pitts and Donnalene Holman. He is preceded in death by: Adopted Parents, Russell and Thelma Voiles; Biological Parents, Vincent H. and Mary (Kirschbaum) Herbert; Sisters, Lydia Smith and Virginia Bedel; and Brothers, Dale Herbert and David Herbert.
Funeral Services for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Pastor LaJo Dunbar will be officiating. A private burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Decatur County Community Foundation.
