INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Four Indiana State Police Troopers from the Versailles Post were honored during an awards ceremony held at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis last week.
The awards, presented by Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter, recognized troopers from around the state who have performed their jobs with integrity, service, and professionalism and at many times went above and beyond the call of duty.
The 2016 Versailles District “Trooper of the Year” is Senior Trooper, Randall Miller. Miller is a ten-year veteran of the State Police.
Trooper Travis Linville, a five-year veteran, was honored with an Indiana State Police “Combat Action Award,” as a result of his actions in assisting the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department to a domestic disturbance at a residence on County Road 850 West near Holton last October.
Trooper Christopher Lockman, a six-year veteran, was honored with a “Lifesaving Award,” after assisting a dive team in rescuing two people who were stranded in a capsized boat near Seymour this past February.
Trooper Korry Clark, an eight-year veteran, was presented with an award for being the district’s top DUI Enforcement Trooper of the Year for 2016. In 2016 Trooper Clark arrested 79 intoxicated drivers during patrols.
