Versailles man tracked, arrested and charged after theft of computer

Seymour, In. — Police in Seymour used the tracking capabilities of some stolen property to find and arrest a Versailles man.

Police allege Jeffery Allan McCrory, 55, took a computer and other items from the cab of a truck parked at Lawyer Excavation on U.S. 31 North in Franklin. The theft victim tracked the stolen electronic device to the Travel Center of America in Seymour and called the police.

Police went to the location and found a car registered to McCrory with some of the stolen items in it.

When police questioned McCrory he attempted to flee but was quickly captured. He is being held in the Jackson County Jail.
