VERSAILLES, IN — Versailles firefighters have placed new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment into service.
The new gear replaces 17-year-old SCBA equipment.
Grants from the Ripley County Community Foundation, Southeastern Indiana REMC, and the Rising Sun Regional Foundation as well as donations helped pay for the purchase of the protective equipment.
Fundraising efforts for this project are still going on.
Department members have been training recently on the proper use of the new equipment.
