Velma M. Smith, 73, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021.
She was born May 20, 1948, in Lawrenceburg, IN, daughter of the late Emerson Grant Rogers and Pauline (Edrington) Rogers.
She previously worked at Road Dog. Velma was a cancer survivor. She enjoyed yard sales and collecting Native American items. She loved Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt. Velma loved helping people and spending time with her family.
Velma is survived by her sons, Tony Wayne Buckingham of Kentucky, and Bryon E. Buckingham of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Anthony Wayne Buckingham, Michael Andrew Buckingham, Christopher Ryan Buckingham, Dylan James Buckingham and Brody Wayne Buckingham; brother, William “Bill” Rogers of Harriman, TN.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Jerame Ollman.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
