Unemployment went up in all four area counties last month

(Southeastern IN) – All four area counties saw a rise in unemployment in July.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Decatur County had the lowest unemployment rate locally at 3.2%, which was up from 2.8% in June.

Franklin County was at 3.6 %, up from 3.2% the month before.

Dearborn County checked in at 3.7%, up from 3.5%.

And Ripley County was at 4%, a jump from 3.6%.

The state average in July was 3.3%.
