U.S. Senator visits Batesville, touts Growing Climate Solutions Act

Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN) addressed the Ripley County Republican Women’s Club Monday night at the Liberty Park Pavilion.

Batesville, IN — Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) was in Batesville last night to speak to the Ripley County Republican Women’s Club at the Liberty Park Pavilion.

One item in particular that he addressed was the Growing Climate Solutions Act. Braun was one of 55 co-sponsors of the act, which is reportedly the first major piece of bipartisan legislation that would help farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners build climate resilience through marketplace programs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The measure was overwhelmingly approved by the Senate last Thursday by a 92-8 margin.

Braun added, as part of his pledge to visit all 92 Indiana counties during the year, he has been to 56 so far, as of Monday.
