Two Southeastern Indiana seniors receive service academy nominations

COLUMBUS, IN — U.S. Representative Greg Pence has made recommendations for 13 candidates from around the Sixth Congressional District to attend the nation’s Service Academies.

East Central High School senior Nathaniel Myers has been nominated to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, while Ashton Rasnake from Lawrenceburg High School has been nominated to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs. Colorado.

“Every year, my office has the honor of nominating the best and brightest students of Indiana’s Sixth District to the various service academies. These students are committing to serve our country, and I am proud to recommend these thirteen young men and women,” said Congressman Pence. “I appreciate the time and thoughtful consideration of the Service Academy Advisory Board throughout this process. The Sixth Congressional District’s Service Academy Advisory Board interviewed the candidates last month.
