Batesville, In. — The Batesville Police Department is currently investigating two recent daytime residential burglaries. The first occurred during the morning hours of Sunday, July 29, 2018, in the 1000 block of Columbus Avenue. The homeowner reported leaving the residence at around 7:40 a.m. and returning at 10:30 a.m. to discover the home had been burglarized.
The second burglary occurred on Woodlawn Drive off of Huntersville Road between 8:30 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, August 7.
The homeowners were not home at the time of the burglaries and the suspect(s) got away with cash and jewelry.
