Two motorcyclists injured in Monday crash

Metamora, Ind. — Two Cincinnati residents were injured in a car-motorcycle crash Monday afternoon at U.S. 52 and Duck Creek Road.

Around 4:30 p.m. a car driven by Helen Hardwick, 74, of Metamora, was turning from U.S. 52 eastbound onto Duck Creek Road and pulled into the path of a motorcycle driven by John Sipe, 38. Sipe and his passenger, Kimberly Sipe, 40, were thrown from the bike.

John Sipe suffered head, wrist, hip and shin injuries. Kimberly Sipe suffered head and rib injuries. Both were flown to University of Cincinnati Hospital for treatment, neither was wearing a helmet. Hardwick was not injured.
