(Brookville, IN) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recently celebrated two longtime employees upon their retirement.
Deputy John Roberts called it a career in February after 21 years of service, while Clerk Debbie Combs retired in January after 24 years with the agency.
Roberts joined the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office after several years of service as a reserve officer with the Town of Laurel. During his time with the agency, Roberts’ roles included Chief Deputy, K-9 handler, and firearms instructor.
Combs first joined the Sheriff’s Office as a part-time clerk before she later moved into a full-time role. Among Combs responsibilities were maintaining inmate records, sending and receiving court related documents, background checks, and banking-related duties.
