Two Injured in Crash Near Milan

(Ripley County, IN) – Two people were hurt in a collision near Milan last week.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says a car driven by 41-year-old Donald Howington, Jr. of Milan was southbound on County Road 625 East near 200 North when, for an unknown reason, it struck the back of a car driven by 36-year-old Brandy Howington, also of Milan.

A passenger in Brandy Howington’s car – 27-year-old Samantha Taylor of Versailles — was airlifted to UC Medical Center for treatment of an undisclosed injury.

Brandy Howington was taken to Margaret Mary Health.

Deputies say drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Milan Police Department, the Milan Volunteer Fire Department, Ripley County EMS, Sunman Area Life Squad, Indiana Stat Flight, Ripley County Communications, and Josh’s Wrecker.
