Two area softball players have signed letters of intent to play at the next level- East Central senior Jordyn Mauer at Denison University in Granville, Ohio and South Ripley senior Ellie Waldron at IUPUC in Columbus, Indiana.

In a release from the East Central Athletic Department, Mauer said she chose Denison University because she wanted to attend a small school with a close-knit atmosphere.

“Denison’s campus is beautiful, and I immediately felt like I was at home when I visited, not to mention it’s the perfect distance from home,” stated Mauer.  “Their acadmics were too amazing to pass on and that playing softball for Denison is an amazing addition to my future academic career.”
