Two area fairs cancel for 2020

Two area fairs have announced that they are canceling for 2020.  Both the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair and the Rush County Fair have announced that due to concern for the safety of their communities, they will not hold fairs this year.

Bartholomew County Fair Board has announced that the 4-H projects will be completed through a virtual fair.  The Purdue Extension-Bartholomew County Office will provide more information on this in the future.

Rush County Fair Board stated that they do not control the 4-H events.  So updates on those projects will come from the Rush County Purdue Extension Office. The Rush County Fair Board also noted they will be trying to either reschedule track events or host them without spectators.    Back in Mid-March the Rush County Fair Queen Pageant was canceled.

Bartholomew County Fair was scheduled for July 10 thru 18 and the Rush County Fair was originally scheduled for June 29 through July 4.
