Twisters Traveled to Versailles for a Match with the Raiders

The Twisters traveled to Versailles for a match with the Raiders on Tuesday, September 10.  Despite a slow start in the first half, OA won 9-1.  South Ripley scored first at 24:46 with a dribble up the middle by Brogan Buchanan.  The Twister’s first score came on an own goal when Raider Keeper Bryson Sipples deflected the ball into their net with 3:10 to play in the half.  With 1:50 to go, Zach Hoff scored with an assist from Conner Holder giving OA a 2-1 lead at halftime.

The second half was a different game with OA scoring 7 goals in the span of 25 minutes.  Zach Hoff put two more scores in at 30:52 and 21:16 to complete a hat trick with assists from Adam Weber and Christian Mack.  Conner Holder also recorded another hat trick with scores at 37:50, 32:55, and 15:00.  The first two for Conner were assisted by Weber and Hayden Blair.  Also scoring for the Twisters was Jacob Hilbert on an assist from Hoff at 35:03 and Henry Wanstrath on a shot from the 20 at 22:52.

The class 1A #10 ranked Twisters are now 5-3-1.

The Twister JV boys travel to Triton Central on Wednesday, September 11 for a game at 7 pm. The next varsity match is at Rising Sun on Monday, September 16 at 5:30 pm.
