A flash flood watch and advisory has been issued for much of the area until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Those driving near creeks, streams, drainage ditches and low lying streets should keep an eye out for minor flooding.
The storms caused some minor damage around the area including lightning striking a tree at Liberty Park.
Showers are moving through the region this morning and into the afternoon hours. Some storms are capable of producing heavy rainfall.
The high temperature today will reach the low 80’’s and there is a chance of rain tonight.
